Docomomo Singapore membership.

The modern movement is more relevant than ever, but its buildings are under threat. Docomomo helps protect and reimagine modernist masterpieces around the world.

Why you should become a member.

Support us in making a difference.

Your continued support is invaluable to us as we work towards our shared goal of preserving and promoting modern architecture and design in Singapore. Your membership contributions directly contribute to covering our operational overheads, which are essential for sustaining our efforts.

Since the inception of Docomomo Singapore in 2020, we have been actively involved in advocating the conservation of prominent Modernist Landmarks such as Pearlbank Apartments and Golden Mile Complex, which results in the first ever conservation of a modernist private strata complex.

The Modernist 100 -- our online repository list documenting Singapore modernist buildings is constantly growing with the help with volunteer research and writers. It is well-received by the public and planning authorities, raising awareness of conservation.

Your membership fees directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our organisation, allowing us to focus on our mission in a viable and sustainable fashion. Change takes time, we would like to be sustainable for the long term to effect the changes we seek.

Renewing your membership or signing up for a three-year membership is easy. Simply go to our shop or reach out to our membership team at membership@docomomo.sg for assistance with the process.

As a Docomomo Singapore member, you get to enjoy several perks as well. Here are just some of the benefits that members have.

Docomomo International’s Bi-annual Journal.

You will enjoy the benefit of receiving Docomomo International’s bi-annual journal, a cornerstone of our parent organisation's contribution to the worldwide movement towards preserving modern buildings. This publication showcases the latest research, insights, and projects related to modern architecture and design. The journal typically comes towards the end of the year, as it requires substantial time and effort from our headquarters to collate, edit, and publish the articles into two copies of the journal.

Priority booking and/or discounts on Docomomo Singapore architecture tours.

We are constantly organising walking tours and intimate house tours to raise awareness and shed light on lesser-known typologies which are an instant hit with the general public. Past tours include Golden Mile Complex, People’s Park Complex, The Old Bukit Timah Turf Club, Pasir Panjang Power Station, Lee Kip Lin’s House, C1 Holland Park and Raymond Woo’s House. We continue to organise more tours in the coming years.
